We want to make games. Great games. Amazing games.
We want to build worlds. We want to create adventures.
We want to make a game that brings in over one billion in revenue.
We don’t want that money to be rich. We want that money for the creative freedom it brings.
With that freedom we can develop games for what they are, which is experimental art, the cutting edge of entertainment, which has only scratched the potential of what it can do.
Games can make people feel, and they can teach people by allowing them to look at things from a different perspective.
We don’t want to make games that make people angry, so our core focus is on co-operative play, which feels like the most socially rewarding form of play, as well as single player. Games which allow players to play alone, or with friends, and indeed to chop and change are great.
We want each game to feel like that moment when you are about to unwrap a Christmas present, and keep that feeling of joy going for as long as possible.
We want to build a great team, of great people, united in the single purpose of making the best game we can.
We don’t believe in crunch time and exploitation. We all have lives, and there’s more to life than work.
We believe in equality. We have always been equal opportunity employers, with the guiding principle that it’s a meritocracy. It’s your work that matters.
We love nurturing talent. We intend to have a program of training, and mentorship, allowing staff to learn within their area, or any other area of interest.
We want to help fund groups from within the company if they wish to splinter off and do their own thing, whether that’s expertise, or financial backing. The more we do, the more we create, and the more we work together the greater the chance we have to win together.
